As they say ''Health is wealth'', a healthy society is an outcome of perfectly planned developments supported by modern healthcare solutions. And to provide such necessities the society needs it leader to be dedicated towards not only his health but the health of those people around him.
Not surprisingly, Bapusaheb Pathare who comes from a farmer's family background- is quite devoted to his health as well as well-being of his people. That’s why his day starts off with a brisk morning walk, but while doing it he meets and discusses many things with the people around him to know their queries and inform them with the solutions.
Being the chairman of 'Sasoon Abhyagat Mandal' Bapusaheb has seriously taken up responsibilities to change and transform the hospital and got a huge fund of 74 crores sanctioned from the Government to construct a 13 storey additional wing comprising 474 beds which will help in keeping up with the flow of increasing patients.
He also got 18 crores sanctioned from the government for the renovation work & setting up a special cancer hospital within the current building. Bapushaeb also got Rs 4 Crore sanctioned from the government for repair, renovation and maintenance at BJ Medical College.
It would not have been possible without energetic, persistent and dynamic leader like Bapusaheb Pathare.
Bapusaheb has also foreseen the emergency health solutions within his constituency so that no patient will require to go all the way in the city, hence he raised a 100 beds municipal hospital in Lohagaon on the lines of Sasoon Hospital.
Another PMC hospital with strength of 50 beds is set up in Kharadi. The primary healthcare centre at Manjari Khurd is the outcome of his particular attention for providing healthcare facilities to the citizen at reasonable prices.
Kalbhairav Vikas Pratishthan, a trust inspired by him , has launched a chain of ambulances across different parts of his constituency. Bapusaheb has specially setup up many free healthcare check up camps for students, eye check up camps, free distribution of spectacles for the needy, general health checkups for the people in his constituency.
This has resulted in thousands of people benefitted so far under the ' Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayi Arogya Yojana '.
Bapusaheb has regularly organized blood donation camps, Yoga classes and Health counseling workshop for students.
Been a trained wrestler himself Bapusaheb also built many gymnasiums in Yerawada, Kharadi, Manjari Khurd and Lohagaon to promote and nurture sports culture within youth.
Many developments that he had completed 85-90% while being at his helm would have been completed had his successor been equally cautious and paid his attention towards the completion the projects such as PMC hospitals at Kharadi and Lohagaon.
This passivity has now resulted in hiking up the project value as well. More than it, it would have been very helpful for the people around the constituency.
Vadgaon Sheri, which saw speedy developments and witnessed many projects getting completed in record time unfortunately, has crawled at a lukewarm speed in last 5 years, need it a genuine leader to move faster in the future.
And to move at such pace, Bapusaheb Pathare is the only person who keeps his words and delivers back in record time.
